Grand Opening of the Richard Flasck Medical Center

Hello readers,

We have exciting news here at International Samaritan! After a year of anticipation, the Richard Flasck Medical Center in Honduras is now open! See pictures below. The medical center is situated in the center of El Ocotillo and will provide medical care for 50-80 patients per day; That's over 10,000 people served each year!.

This building was made possible by Mr. Richard Flasck. Mr. Flasck witnessed the extreme poverty and health problems afflicting the people of Honduras during a medical mission in 2008. He offered funds to International Samaritan for the purpose of constructing a medical facility that would help alleviate these hardships. The people of El Ocotillo thank you for your generosity, Mr. Flasck!

Additional thanks goes to the volunteers from the Kappa Alpha Order of Miami University and the University of Detroit Jesuit High School for helping to construct the medical center.

The official inauguration ceremony for the building will take place on April 12th.
